Rooster – Crepe. Sandwich. Cafe

Last week I was in St Louis for work and I found one of the best breakfast/brunch restaurant/cafe’s on Yelp. Luckily it was close to my hotel that I could make a stop and try out what they had to offer.

In the heart of downtown was this little cafe that has wraps, sandwiches crepes and more. The dining area was very homey and felt very relaxing. All I needed now was a newspaper to read and to be in my pj’s. Everyone on yelp was glorifying their BLT sandwich they had. On the menu it was called the B.E.L.T. The “E” standing for fried EGG! Egg on everything is good but it just depends on how they make it.

I ordered a mimosa to get the party started and the B.E.L.T and a crepe with nutella & strawberries. I warned the host that I wasn’t going to finish all this and I just ordered it to try it. The first thing I bit into was the B.E.L.T. and yes they made the fried egg (over easy) perfect. After the first bite, the yolk was nice and runny. It had nice thick bacon and it was delicious as what everyone said on yelp. It also came with a side of breakfast potatos which are like soft seasoned potato chips. Now for the best part, the crepe. Even though I feel like you can’t really make crepes wrong, this one was amazing as well.

When in St. Louis I would give this place a try, however beware of the weekends, word around town is there is always a line out the door.

Secret Agent

I recently did some testing for this shoe company. Actually today is the day I need to return it to the manufacture to conclude the testing with the wear & tear. Hopefully I get in on some future testing.

BBQ Republic Grub Burger

With a pretty weak lunch yesterday, I decided to have a delicious BBQ burger from BBQ Republic. I got the Grub Burger that has pulled pork and cole slaw to go on top of your hamburger patty. However, I was disappointed in this burger. Something was missing and there wasn’t any flavor blowing my mind. Even with spreading bbq sauce it was just lacking something.

I do recommend this place but I highly recommend ordering the Billy Club: Brisket, Pulled Pork and Link Sausage.

Video: Maiya Tanaka Closest to Pin Shot

Here are some videos of the perfect swing of Maiya Tanaka as well as me teeing off a couple of times. And also see what happens when Pro Skate meets Golf.

1st Annual Seany Foundation Golf Charity Tournament

Pro Skater Willy Santos invited me to join him in a charity golf tournament for the Seany Foundation at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. Celebrities that were there were Vincent Jackson, Steve Gregory, and women’s pro golfer Maiya Tanaka from The Golf Channel’s Big Break Sandals.

This private country club opened there doors for us and this was by far the best course i’ve played on. When we got there we hit balls in their driving range. You know when you’re at a nice golf course when they stack your driving balls into a pyramid. Afterwards we had a catered lunch in the back patio. It was delicious.

We were paired up with another four-some at the start which just happened to be the Jackson-Gregory four-some. So we trailed them the whole time and I said what-up every now and then and they weren’t too cool to say hi. Another cool part was have a cooler full of beer and soda along the course. Free cold beer is always a plus.

Maiya Tanaka was at our 3rd hole and played her closest to the pin I which I actually won! Definitely a moral booster. At the dinner reception I asked Steve Gregory for a photo and he was cool about it. What was even more cool was that he stood up to talk to me and not shun me off after the photo. I actually ended the convo because I went blank didn’t know what else to ask him. haha. Cool guy.

So much fun for my first tournament. Sure sets my future tournaments bar pretty high now though.

Palm Springs ACE Hotel Vacay

Kicked it in Palm Springs this weekend for a little vacay and it was amazing! Nothing but sunshine. Spent the weekend at one of the most awesome hotels ever at the ACE Hotel, poolside all weekend. Good times with good people. Much needed time away from the computer but not the iPad. Haha.

Oh yeah, they also filmed a Creative Rec promo video on Sunday when we were there. They put some crazy $$$ into this thing with the type of equipment they had. Sorry no pics, iPhone & camera were chillin in the room.

Nike Zoom Huarache Premium Manny Pacquiao

Finally had these Nike Zoom Huarache’s arrive at my door after having them back ordered several times. I ordered these the week before Manny’s May 7th fight against Shane Mosley and somehow they got back ordered a couple of days after my initial order. At least I got them and I do love them. Check out the shots with my new in room studio…

Bangin Burgers – Pork Lovin’

We went to lunch today to Bangin’ Burgers in Miramar for our co-worker Henry’s last day. There is one burger they had here on my birthday which I think is called the Pork Lovin’ burger. It consists of a meat patty, smoked bacon, pulled pork, ham, bbq sauce, grilled onions and the usual condiments. By far this is one of my favorite burgers. So good that I will never try any other Bangin Burger.

Today they didn’t have it on special so I had to buy the burger ala cart. Also they have these amazing sweet potato tater tots! this is a great table sharing item!

Padres vs Phillies

Last night we had CGI night at Petco Park for the baseball game. It was nothing but fun. Im tired, ill let the photos speak for themselves…

btw thank you PhanTom for taking photos!

Neighborhood SD

Before the start of the Padres game vs the Phillies, a few of up had dinner at Neighborhood for some delicious burgers and drinks. They have a good happy hour Mon-Fri 2 for 1 local beers. Off the bat the Neighborhood burger is the burger to get. Caramelized onions are the bomb! Lester & Maryann got the jalapeno mac & cheese and they said it was amazing.

Chargers Park Season Tickets Tour Part 2

Here is the 2nd part of the tour. We got to check out the grass and turf fields outside. We were allowed to check out the locker room but couldnt take photos. A lot of the players still had their stuff in their lockers. Philip Rivers had a damn full locker as i’m sure he spends the most of his time there. The equipment room was cool too. The tour ended with seeing the AFC Lamar Hunt Trophy.

This was one of the coolest tours i’ve been on. I am officially pumped for this hopefully upcoming season…

Chargers Park Season Tickets Tour Part 1

Yesterday Kimtan, Heather and I were invited to a season ticket personal tour of the Chargers Training Facility and front office. We were in a very small group of season ticket holders and it was a very intimate occasion. We started out in the meeting and film room. Walked through all the positional rooms (special teams, quarter backs, running backs, etc.). We got to sit in the chair Philip Rivers spends most of his days in. It was so cool looking all everything they had up on the walls. We got to check out the enormous gym that the players workout at. I couldn’t believe we were actually seeing what we were seeing.

Bicentennial Mall State Park

One of my stops in Nashville was the Bicentennial Mall State Park which overlooks the capitol building. This park would be awesome to sit and read a book on one of the benches. All the trees were in full bloom and it was just beautiful. This would be perfect for engagement photos! Apparently back in the day during the civil war, soldiers used to camp here and play baseball. Useless facts.

Preview of the City: Nashville

I spent last Thursday morning filming the marathon & half marathon course for work. I couldn’t have asked more for such a perfect day. 75 degrees with blue skies = amazing day for driving around Nashville with a camera attached to the windshield. With my awesome sidekick Karen to help drive the course, everything went smoothly.

After wards I drove around Nashville, took photos and relaxed hill side in downtown and enjoyed what was left of my time before my flight home.

Thank you Nashville.

Rotier’s Restaurant Nashville

Had lunch at Rotier’s Restaurant home of the best burger in Nashville. It’s a small hole in the wall restaurant with all kinds of cool eye candy to look at. They have very kind service from everyone. The staff was so kind that I felt like I was a regular.

As for the burger, it was no southern California burger but it sure was good in a category of its own. A burger patty on french bread is one of a kind and it sure was delicious.

If you’re ever in Nashville and craving a burger, skip White Castle and head to Rotier’s.
