It’s Always Sunny in New Orleans

On Friday Malain and I filmed the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon course for my one of the kind course preview videos. Earlier in the week the weather man forecasted 30% chance of rain but they were 100% wrong. It was a nice chilly and sunny day, the perfect weather to film a marathon course. Along the way  and after filming we visited a few places.

We visited Drew Brees’ house by Audubon Park, a nice neighborhood in Uptown New Orleans. After we had sushi at a small place called Mikimoto. It was a small building in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately they had at least 30 rolls on the menu and it turned out to be really really good. I ordered the Tiger Roll (salmon, spicy tuna, topped with tuna, salmon, eel and crunch, pink sauce and bbq eel sauce).

On the way back to the hotel we stopped by the Superdome home of the NFL Saints and The New Orleans Arena home of the NBA Hornets. The back door of the Superdome was open due to the start of their multi-million dollar renovation. We snuck in and took a look as they took the seats apart. It was something cool to see with what has happened here in the past 5-6 years, NFL NFC championship game and was home for thousands after Katrina.
