Saturday Dynamite!

i had one long saturday evening.

at the mira mesa workshop, randy (R.A.D.) dropped by to check out the workshop and drop off flyers to his art show this upcoming saturday at It’s A Grind next to westview high school. come and support the cause.

after work, i went home to a bunch of people partying at the party pad. it was my mom’s high school reunion or something. they were video chatting with other members of their class in the philippines. crazy how technology can connect people no matter where ever you are in the world.

oh did i mention, the food? oh man. the food was like our parties but more awesome. sorry guys, but this menu was loaded. i was the only one at the food table, and look how much food was left!

i took this as a vertical pic but i dont like posting vertical pics here. the top is the philippines web cam abd the bottom is the cam here at my house. they were on this thing til 4am in the morning and they were LOUDER than us.

met with some of the posse and drove out to BAR DYNAMITE in old town-ish. this spot is slightly bigger than Landlords (RIP), but is located in such a shady place.

Toe-Knee forgot his ID. so we waited on the block for a while for josie with tk’s wallet and ID. so the dudes walked across the street to this gelato ice cream spot. i said no thanks to the calories but from what the guys said, it was good.

ended up doing more waiting. wish i had a sticker to represent.

hit the bar for a couple of beers. Bar D was highlighted in all red.

this place was crackin. every ethnic race every was in the spot. luckily i didnt wear my nice shoes.

R.I.P. Landlord Jims

Landlords Jims is closing their doors after tonight last hurrah. after only knowing about dive bar for about a year, they are calling it quits due to the increased industrialization of downtown. kinda sucks. actually, more like, really sucks. from what i heard, they are destroying the block prolly for condos or some shit. what other bar can you buy tall cans that come in a brown paper bag? exactly. goodbye Jim the Landlord. Rest In Pieces.

everyone atleast tried to have their last drinks and say their last goodbyes. i say atleast cuz that shit was crackin at 945pm. over it. not worth waiting in line for 45min to rub my shoulders on dudes.

if you didnt hear, there was a huge fire downtown last sunday. the spot right across the street burned to rubble. could it be arson? to build new condos? i wouldnt doubt it. someone should burn qualcomm stadium so we can get a new stadium.

ghirardelli’s doesnt need their 500,000,000 watt light sign to get your attention. the chocolate does all the smelling. sooner or later, your nose does all the walking.

since we got to see Landlord Jims our last time in line, for 30min, we decided to visit our favorite hot spot, HEAT… heat… heat… (thats an echo if you didnt know). somebody beat us to Heat, and also beat us to the alcohol. red face chris.

it was crackin. yeah… crackin with dudes. i witnessed a ratherly large girl freak a dude and her skirt thought there was a stick-up and reached for the sky.  worst sight of the night.

Chargers AFC Playoff Tickets!

Playoff tickets are in! out of the past 3 playoff tickets we’ve gone to , these are by far the coolest looking ones. its a silver hologram-ish ticket. however its kinda hard to read the fine print. i hope this makes everyone jealous and become a season ticket holder next year. We need more friends to party with. BIG game sunday! Getcha popcorn ready!

me and kimtan went to 2 charger playoff games, in 05 and 07 playoffs. they lost both. the last playoff win was with stan humphries in 1994.

Ojay Day

hands down one of the funnest wednesdays of my life! shit, it wasnt even my birthday! it was ojays. i cant even recall another fun wednesday like this. happy birthday ojay. what a good start to 2008. let me walk through my night with you… (100 photos uploaded on my flickr account)

ate at BAMBOO on prospect in la jolla. the whole place was pretty much reserved for our party of the year, day 2 of 2 into 2008. dope ass skate video and hip hop soundtracks. kirin, sapporo, sake, sake bombs, sushi, and wildboyz dont mix.

sake bombs are the messiest and loudest reason to drink beer ever.

as 2007 passes by, its time to start with a clean slate in 2008. it all begins with resolutions. my one resolution from last year, which was to dedicate time for the gym, is still going. overall 2007 was a big reality check for me. now 2008 is going to be the year i put my foot in the door to a lot of things. so cheers to 2007 and put it in your back pocket. lets do 2008 right.
