Classical Flicks.
Lately in my class we’ve been watching old school movies. when i say old school, i mean old school classic movies. The past week we’ve watched Alfred Hitchcocks Psycho (1960), Spartacus (1960) featuring Kirk Douglas, and the silent film,The Kid (1921) by Charlie Chaplin. im so eye opened from watching these films. i just love the old look to films. im also intrigued by the whole 50′s – 60′s getup the women would wear back in the days. i think its super hot. plus i seriously cant believe that everyone used to drive those old school 1950′s chevy’s back in the day with the white side wall tires. its so rare that you are lucky to see one. i would love to have one.

i got mail from the city for my speeding ticket last month. the damage = $337 with traffic school. i missed traffic school from my last ticket so i will be SURE to do it this time a round.
its a three day weekend coming up followed by another busy week. along with the three day weekend, theres a House of Blues club event on sunday, first sofball game on tuesday, first basketball game on wed, and ASR/AGENDA trade show the following fri-sun, and with the Chargers season opener on the 9th. oh and yeh, the next season of Heroes starts up the 24th i think.

Early early good morning.
I slept a little earlier last night and thats why ive been up since maybe 130am. i just completed watching superbad again on tvlinks. tvlinks is the best place to watch movies/tv shows when you could care less about the quality.
this month has been a rough one, not only for me but for my friends. fights, deaths (3 in 1 week), break ups, bad days, late nights. i hope september is a good one. that why ive been saying that everyone needs a chill pill til the end of the month. yes its fucking hot but just chillax. sit in your room and minimize your body movements so u dont sweat. i sweat just walking up my stairs.
Ive been lacking with my blog updates daily now because of my new class. Im in my last 25 day of class, well, 22 now. Its a screen writing class that teaches you how to write a story and the structure of putting it on paper. We have a lecture everyday and ive been addicted to my morning cola caffine intake. we also watch movies in class. As for yesterday we watched Witness with Harrison Ford. It was pretty good i admit. i hate this class. but im so over school right now that i just want to get it over with the quickest way i can.
I had a flat tire last week. I finally picked up new tires! $600+ for 4 tires. goodness. my truck finally has a smooth ride again! I also got new headlight bulbs and $70 air filter.
chargers game is thursday. its gonna be whack. especially when micheal turner is hurt. well pretty much, its not worth going to just to watch 1st series of starters. hell, if i were norv turner, i wouldnt play anyone.
when i graduate, i want to get out of here for a week or two. maybe as a grad present, my parents can send me to japan. i need to be culturized again. vince is over there, so thats not a problem.
i wanted a Honda Ruckus scooter to ride to work and such. my mom and dad shot down my idea. my mom brought me to her office to say that if i ever got one she would cry.

i swear that since school started, the street have been crazy ridiculous busy. it gets annoying. AND now that everyone know that the back road to RB is now open, the rush hour times are the worst! its almost like how the back road to carmel valley just opened. i hate it.
i think i weigh 175 lbs now. after the gym i weighed myself and it said 178, however i had a full liter of water. i think my body is on a roll and im at the prime at losing weight. so my workouts have been harder and longer. since my new years resolution i list maybe 15-20 lbs. i touched 195lbs and vowed to never touch 200.

Sisters Grad Party.
i just had a crazy weekend.
i spent a full tank of gas ($55) on two days just driving within PQ, Mira Mesa, & Poway. But my sisters party was a blast. fully catered dinner, open bar, and the astro jump that the kids spoiled. i would like to thank my friends for coming to the party and i hope everyone enjoyed it, despite my party foul at the end.
all the aunties and uncles congratulated me on my awesome dancing with the hula girls. i originally had leo on the list to come up but since steve was egging me on, his name got called out on stage.
one of the bad things about being dj at a fam party is all the elders want old music. i was so over. i had a ghetto setup with my computer and had to use the Magic Mic (karaoke) as a microphone and switch the cords every time they needed to say something. thanks to ron for his dj equipment.
I just realized that i shouldve had my grad party along with my sisters because im graduating next month. i couldve made some money. i guess i will make sure i have a small one when time comes around.
so the next day, we had lunch at my aunts house and the astro jump was still there! unfortunately i was by myself. this was bigger than last time and had a much cooler slide. it was all jungled out. too bad those little rodents made the parentals turn it off. i also blame my party foul at the end to those rodents. they were playing with that bonfire with sticks an such only to freak my parents out when we were chillin. i guess, a fire log is equivalent to 10 8-year olds with 3 foot tree branches burning in the fire and walking around with them. fact: its true eucalyptus trees do burn easily.

On The Green Screen.
let me zip through what i did this weekend:
work. busters beach house. aprils. work. hoey fam. tio leos flautas. ps3. blueballz. zion short ribs. pigs in a blanket. beringer white zinfadel. a hit. beer pong. flip cup. beer into water. drench in ice water. regurgitation. locked keys in car.
with the help of kimtan bui, toe-knee nguyen, and victorynightlife.com, i managed to pick up a ps3. i couldnt resist the release of madden and needed one for myself and none of this, wait for tk to get home then i can come over and play. blu-ray is freaken dope.
My second to last class of my life is almost done. im making my own HP commercial. i realized i can use my walls as my green screen. so i did. so i just pushed things aside and made my room 376 times more messy.
so this is what my composition of my project looks like. im working with a little 3d so i need a bunch of windows open so i can see different angles.
heres an example of what im trying to get at. it wont be as great but im trying. so you might want to check back tomorrow for the final cut.
After Effects Project.
i finally opened up a new youtube account. this is my first after effects project. this is the project i reference a few posts back. watch out for my next one though. its gonna be sick.
Round 3: Ralph Vs. Wild.
lately ive been learning how the importance of eating breakfast is. so i decided to be late for school for some rice, spam, and potatoes.
but my meal was interrupted in the middle to my mom screaming. my mom hates snakes to death. if we put her in a stray jacket and went to the snake exhibit at the zoo, she would find a to get out of it. but anyways, my mom was screaming and covering her eyes as ralph walks in the house with a fucking snake in his mouth. again.
yeh, he did it again and it scared the shit out of me cuz he put it down right next to me. on the mat. i think he did it for the mere purposes of showing us “look what i can do!”. as he put it on the mat, he walked outside (as shown below).
but of course, the filipino man vs. wild, uncle gil picked it up and threw it out. i wouldnt be surprised if he goes back to get it later to skin the snake and cook it up later. so if i were you, i wouldnt eat at my house, that might not be the chicken you asked for.
one time i ate deer, thinking it was steak. but thats another story for another day…
Miso Harney
Old town easily can be described at “Little Mexico City”. its the closest spot to mexico where tourist dont have to cross the border and risk being kidnapped for ransom.
but somewhere in the midst of margaritas, tortilla flippers, and tourists, there is a little sushi spot called Harney’s which is on Harney st. they didnt take reservations til 10pm but getting there at 8pm seemed like we didnt need reservations. well the spot was poppin off. it took us almost 1.5 hours to get seated. might as well made reservations.
the spot is so small for all those people trying to get a bite. why not expand their location and make it a little bigger to accommodate for all the people trying to get a seat, instead of shunning off 50 extra customers to the words of “1 hour wait”.
they have the hottest/sexiest hosts/waitresses/bartenders (all female cast) and also customers. i could literally sit there for hours and imagine my future.
paying for a $14.50 “Hawaii 5-0″ roll is worth it. and so is the wait.
so anytime your testosterone is rising while in japan, go to Miso Harney in old town.
Green Screen.
this most important things i wanted to learn in this class, i just learned in 2 days.
yesterday we learned all about green screen. with a few clicks i can have you walking down the strip in vegas!
and today we learned how to clone. i finally know how to erase wires. meaning, with the right equipment, can do a crouching tiger hidden dragon flying scene or a matrix, run on walls scene.

Ruptured Ear Drum.
ive been a busy B. school to work to work at home to gym to sleep has been my daily formula. im constantly out of the house from 730am to 730pm. by the time i get home, im beat and thats when i start lagging on other shit that needs to be done.
solving procrastinating is my ultimate goal for the upcoming months. yes i do it and i do it often. theres so much shit on my mind that i cant think in a straight line. sept 27th is my supposedly last day of school. unless something is standing in my way, i will be graduating. i will be so happy to have so much more time to focus on what i need to do to reach my goals.

so i finally got the verdict on my health problems. my mom and i went to the doctor yesterday at 7am to check up on my ear to make sure its worth seeing an ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctor. we went to the doctor right by the pq workshop. there was prolly 10 people aged 85 or older. and there was me and troy, yes, tall ass baller troy who was getting a physical for basketball. my mom sat in with me and the doctor. i found it funny when the doctor asked if i smoked. my mom answered for me no. then the doc asked if i consume alcohol. my mom again answered for me no. i guess she needs to keep my reputation in front of other doctors. they also started talking about my sisters going to UC schools and blah blah. Doctor checked out my ear and said there is fresh blood and referred me to the ENT doctor. luckily my mom is ahead of the game and scheduled me an appointment in the afternoon.
so the ENT doctor did his questioning. then he did his physical check up on my nose and throat before he got to my ear. looks like my nose is crooked and is the cause for my snoring. now i can blame something for my snoring! the only way for solving a crooked nose is through surgery. he kept questioning if i ever broke my nose. i prolly fucked it up playing football in high school, especially when sometimes your inside forehead padding in your helmet slips and hits your nose. i can recall that a few times. but i wonder why my ex never said anything about snoring when i used to sleep at her house everyday. strange.
the doctor said that a high majority of chinese and filipino’s get tumors behind the nose. so since i had a crooked nose for no reason, he decided to check. at this point im like WTF! i better not have a fucking tumor. the next process was crazy. he numbed up my nose and stuck this camera through my nose. dude, that shit went all the way up in my nose where it felt like it hit my eye or something.
next he checked my throat. as you all know, i cant swallow shit. no caplets, no capsules, no gel caps, nada. he stuck his mirror in the back of my throat only to start hearing me gag.
as for my ear, he said i have a ruptured ear drum. he said its not from infection cuz he didnt see any pussing thats associated with it. he said i prolly poked it. as for ruptured ear drums, it could take up to 2 months to heal. that means 2 months of ringing & being deaf.
Madden Skillz.
im on the quest to finding out which game console would i like to play madden 08 on. ive got 2 website jobs upcoming that will help me pay for it. so my choices are Xbox 360 or PS3. I like Xbox but im not used to the controls. too many damn buttons. however alvin and tk have it also and we can play online. as for PS3, its a little bit more expensive but i want to watch blu ray discs since netflix has blu ray rentals. i am just surprised im holding off on buying madden. the past, lets say, 6 years ive either picked up the game at midnight of the release or waited in a short line at opening. i used to be in all these madden tournaments and i would actually compete with leo who plays madden everyday of his so called life! one time i went to the glendale galleria to compete in the first years madden tournament by ea sports. there were hundred of people, 16 brackets, and i got to the finals of my bracket but lost. but i was stoked that i hung in. i also did some tournaments up in ocean beach, carlsbad, mission valley. i always used the chargers who used to suck in madden. but i knew how to use them and people used to watch my games. crowds of like 10 people would stand behind me and watch my skillz.
there was a tournament in ocean beach and there was prolly 20 people or so. well i made it to the final game and got to play on the big screen and sit on the nice ass couch. i used the sucky chargers and he used the super awesome eagles. sometimes you cant do anything about the computer. i lost.

preseason or not, it was the 1st football sunday of the season.
the family went out for breakfast at marie calendars. thats our fam spot. we dont have that many days together as a family cuz my mom and dad work opposite day and night shifts. my sister is constantly at school or studying abroad. so when we happen to be in the house at the same time together, we hit up our spot at marie calendars.

its was charger sunday! it was a crappy game but the tailgate food was bomb. zion chicken n’ short ribs, hot dogs, and beer. we sat in the sun for the whole first half and that shit was fuckin hot.

my ear seems to bleed every morning, my ear is ringing and has no signs when it will stop, and i can barely hear out of it. doctors appointment at 7am sharp tomorrow morning.

Bloody Ear.
what a horribly awesome week.
the fact that im half sick and half good just makes me horribly awesome. my sickness hasnt gotten to the point where i have lost my appetite or lost all the taste of my pallet. ive managed to work and be sick this whole week.
last night was the worst day/night of my sickness. according to my mom, when you get all conjested, its all connected to our ears which can cause pain to your teeth. well, its gotten pretty close to that point. yesterday i pretty much lost half of my hearing in my left ear. i cant really hear shit. i can hear every breathe i take (no, not the song). theres this long annoying pain in my ear. my left limphnode behind my ear is all swollen. i took tylenol to instantly ease the pain but i left it in my car before we went out for a bowling birthday bash for rose. the pain came back. and gosh dammit, it hurt sooooo much. i couldnt even sleep. it felt like screwing a screwdriver in my ear to my brain. one of the worst pain ive felt in my life. FYI: the worst pain i ever felt in life was when i got my wisdom teeth out and the numbing went away without my vicaden. just imagine getting your wisdom teeth pulled out without any shots.
well, to come to an conclusion, i woke up and my ear felt all wet, like when you get water in your ear and it just all of a sudden comes out. well pretty much my ear was bleeding. its pretty scary. my mom is getting me some amoxicillin for me later.
well im starving myself at school right now so i can enjoy some free SHOGIZZUN!!! thanks april! sorry if i have horrible grammar right now and if nothing makes sense. im just typying away and not looking back.
Icon Condos.
on thursday i took a break from all the action at Bar Basic and took a short elevator ride to the top of east village. Our friend Jazz resides on the 7th floor of the Icon condos right across from Petco Park. on the 11th floor is the roof top where you can watch the ball games from, where you can have a bbq, or where you can say you had sex while watching a baseball game. all n all, i was lucky to come away with a bunch of beautiful pictures. i took a set of photos where my photoshop did all the cut and pasting for a remarkable panoramic view from the 25th floor, just right past sunset. LIVE LARGE.
Down With The Sickness.
apparently, my immune system lets its guard down saturday night because somewhere between Stone brewery in escondido to downtown, i got a bug. monday morning at 3-4am i woke up in the middle of the night/morning with my shirt soaked in sweat. it was freaken gross, and it was hard to take it off with a pounding headache. i had a heather shirt on but it basically turned charcoal.
sunday we kicked it at the bay for the Ballz duo (ron & anabell) BBQ. it was loaded with food and beer. 2 kegs running on tap. me and chris both got stung by a bee from walking on the grass barefoot. shit hurts like crazy. luckily i was able to pull the stinger out before it went in deeper.
i slept 15 min this morning. why? cuz i was procastinating on my project like always. so i was stressing like i always do, but i like how it turned out. i came to class finding out that the project isnt due til thursday now cuz the teacher is sick also and we have a field trip to the Siggraph 07 convention . Like comic con but for graphic designers. i doubt im gonna go. i need to catch up on rest so i can start feeling 100% again.

so my sister got back from her summer trip to switzerland/europe trip for school. from what my parents told me, when she was in barcelona, her baggage was overweight and she had to adjust her stuff, but the plane flew off without her. her friend that was on that flight had one of her bags with all her credit cards, etc. luckily for my sis, she had her passport. shes home now. but shes sick like me.
Apple came out with their new iMacs today. they also came out with their new keyboards. i might be able to actually afford the keyboard. i already have the previous 24″ iMac. i got it the day it came out. im just waiting now to pick up a new macbook pro. i hate days when apple comes out with new stuff cuz i start to get jealous.

LT Nike Commercial.
football season is almost here! finally i can see some kind of reimbursment from the $800 paid season tickets months and months ago. well, if you didnt know, a couple of months ago LT filmed a Nike commercial at qualcomm till like 4 in the morning. Well we found it! truthfully, i prolly had my expectations way too high cuz i just think this commercial is alright. the football moves just seem script written. it didnt look that real too me. plus the scoreboard says bears 22, charger 17 with 4 min left in the 4th quarter on 4th down! #18 on the chargers doesnt even has his chinstrap on! the new jersey’s look freaken awesome though!!
