Finally, Hands on Education.

good afternoon?

this is the latest blog post ive had in a while. i dont think i will be blogging anymore at school because after all the bullshitting my old teacher did, he finally got the cut. So now the 3d animation class and my after effects class have converged into one ultimate class. The teacher is this dope ass asian dude who learned all his skillz at NYU. I came in late today only to see that my seat was jacked and we had a new teacher. I learned as much today as we usually would in 5 days with that old teacher we had. so now i have a good reason to go to class on time, not sleep in class, and not walk out of class to get a drink at AMPM, and that reason is… education.

gonna keep this one short and sweet. lots to do on the agenda list.

Another start of a new week.

for some reason, to me it seems like the week goes by super quick. Sooner or later it will be hump day, then after a quick blink its friday.

As for this past weekend, you can only tell if i am drunk only if… i am knocked out when we go to alvaroes and i wake up not even knowing we even made the trip to alvaroes. well that happened. I highly recommend to get your party started with 2 ULTIMATE LONG ISLANDS at TGI’s. Ask Ojay. Oh by the way, thanks Ojay for throwing down the bill. We chilled at TGI’s, right across from HEAT at like 845pm. That laid the way for the rest of the night for me and the buddies who came out a tad bit earlier.

We watched “… Chuck n Larry ” on saturday. A good chill night after a drunk night is highly needed. Its a good movie. Not the best. But as long as it keeps me laughing, its all good. I love Happy Madison Productions.

Sunday night i went to the gym. thats it. i went for my workout at 1230am and it was empty. I stayed up the night until 6am only to get 1 hour of sleep. I woke up for school not tired for some reason. I think im just used to it. driving to school with no music, the window down, & driving the speed limit can be very calming. O, and the best time for your parents to drive your car is when your on empty, cuz they will fill that shit up to the top! Thats an easy $55 gas coupon.

As for class today, i finally learned something. Im getting this After Effects program pretty good. I think i can learn more than my teacher teaches us. Im so far ahead of the class that ive been watching video tutorials for the past 30min and i already learned how to add blood splatter effects and some other cool special FX.

Our school has break at 10am but since theres no time to drive around, everyone just walks across the street to AMPM. I leave at 950 to beat the rush and grab a little bite to eat. AMPM has some bomb as food. Its just like microwavable foods but you gotta grab that shit when its fresh. They make it fresh by the time every break comes along cuz they always run out of food from all the students at my school grabbing a bite to eat.

PURPLE HAZE 1 & 2 both have playoff games today at 8:25 at AIU. So we hope you all can make it tonight. Super Kronics have their game on wednesday so keep that night open.

its another friday, another week, another blink of my life. i dont really have much to blog about to today… a few things i can mention is that my fucking car radio is jacked. it plays static no mater what is playing, cd’s, ipod, or even my satellite. it has no pattern, it seems like it just wants to turn on whenever it wants. ive been so pissed off that i pretty much broke the face of my receiver. it feels weird driving in a silent car.

Rocky Loves Emily

gud morning everyone.

i hope you got over the hump of the week alright. i spent my day at the beach. i havent been to the beach prolly in 2 years. well actually, i went once last august to film my “september” youtube video, but that doesnt quite count.

it was nice to forget about everything and just relax with your feet in the sand. only if seaweed was good to eat straight out of the ocean, the ocean would look a lot cleaner.

tuesday i worked at the mira mesa shop. i happily to say i am way over L&L, well… unless they hook it with the BBQ beef. the new spot is sushi hut.

our friend jeff and his girlfriend came by the shop with Rocky their pet pitbull. he’s one of the best and nicest dog ive met. ive seen this dog when he was just a pup and he is now huge! he will only get bigger.

i wish i had a dog again. especially one like rocky. i need a companion and best friend. he was only $150. maybe i should be looking…

oh what a lovely sleep.

it feels so much better to sleep after winning a basketball game and consuming alcohol to go along with it.

yes we did it. we won our last final regular season game. who knows, we might have a good chances getting into the NIT tournament. since my first game playing on purple haze i can say i feel more comfortable being on the court. the basketball court is my football field. i scored 4 more points than last season but my stats say i only scored 1 more point. i love my team. please dont cut me next season.

After the game, i had to film this project with my classmates. we need to redo a scene from a movie. we chose the movie blue velvet. its a strange pick out of all the movies clips we could do but aw well. the scene was all inside a car and it was easy to get by. i think im going to re-edit fatcho libre and show the class tomorrow. it is perfect for this project

as for school, tomorrow is my last day in class tomorrow. heres my remaining school schedule…

i cant wait for the effect class. we learn adobe after effects which is the main thing ive wanted to learn here at platt. they may have used this program in transformers. you can do special effects like gun shots, smoke, green screen, and other dope shit. all i can say is be ready for the ultimate wildboyz film. and that last class is a screenwriting class. ive heard a lot of bad things about that class, and some classmates have put in their input to the dean.

since this is a small school, you can easily talk to the dean. shes really cool. i guess thats the worst thing a teacher here can worry about, some kid ratting them out.

*an off note topic: The Workshop/ Willy website
with the new workshop site layout and all the marketing with the “Film This” premiere, we doubled the daily unique (new visitor) hits. when we first launched the site we’d get 200-300 new hits a day. then it bumped it to 400 the past month. but yesterday, the 16th, we got a total of 1050 unique hits. incredible.

not only that, but i got some insider info that notes us at 56 out of all, OF ALL, skateboarding websites and we were noted with a rising arrow. we beat some big time skate companies.

the best good night remedy are 2 ULTIMATE LONG ISLANDS from TGIF’s during happy hour. sleeping on a good buzz is the best thing you can do. if not 2 long islands, then 2 large sakes.

Another wasted day of school.

With 1 hour of sleep, i woke up to another monday morning school day. today was a little different. i drove slow to school. i never past 75mph and i was teaching myself to be patient while driving. I wanted the green lights to turn red and it happened. i guess getting a speeding ticket is the only way to slow me down. it was another useless day at school. i drove to school to check my email and come back home. its all good, this class is almost done and that means only 2 more classes til i get that degree. my next class is film screenwriting. i heard its a boring class.

so this weekend was a pretty chill. the party krew went out to basic in downtown friday night for some drinks and mashed potato pizza. there were so many fine ladies that night. thats all i can say.

sat night, after work we just had a nice little dinner at sushiya which was follewed by kicking it at tk’s. actually for me, it was my time to go to bed. i slept maybe 10 hours at tk’s. i made tk sleep on the couch of his room. i took over the bed.

sunday i had football playoffs which we lost. the i watched some of the homies play slosh ball with “the brothers”.

Yes thats fred. he whiffed. penalty= keg stand.

that was my semi-ant-climactic weekend.

I had to have a Simpsons donut from 711. i had to.

i was thinking about what if i get another ticket when i actually got another ticket. this time i deserve a warning. so i get pulled over this morning on the way to school. i NEVER drive past 80 cuz if i do my truck starts to shake. i was touching 80 in the speedometer i know i was cuz i was looking at my speedometer when i saw him chasing after me and was like, “i was speeding?”. so i pull over, and he seems like a chill cop. i told him i know i wasnt over 80 but i was speeding. he says he clocked me and 88 and said that it was because i got bigger tires and that i didnt get it calibrated. so unconsciously i was driving 88. dont i deserve a warning atleast? but i saw him writing my ticket in my rear view mirror. im kinda scared now cuz i think i got a ticket last summer and didnt go to traffic school. i might be screwed. but i think im gonna fight this one or pay a traffic lawyer to do the best he can. ron knows some dude that will do it for $100 if he wins and it will be free if he doesnt win. he will even show up for you on your court day. im down.

the worst part about it is that half the class isnt present today, even the teacher. So i pretty much sacrificed a speeding ticket to come to school and write this damn blog entry and go home cuz after this im bouncin! im trying not to stress. but i am greatly.

im handling it pretty good though cuz the rest of my classmates are talking shit bout our teacher. i guess he took some money from the budget for this big 48 hour film festival thing our school/majority of our class is doing over the weekend for a bag of twix.

how about i not stress about this all and fucking party tonight.i will see you somewhere with a fucking drink in my hand.

Sorry i didnt blog yesterday. i seriously had nothing to blog about except for that i went to the gym around 11pm tues night and stayed up til 6am.

The second season of MTV’s Rob n’ Big is airing and the last episode they went to an Active shop signing. Mike Stacks spotted some kid in the crowd rockin my pirate shirt i designed for the workshop. Its always awesome seeing a kid rock your tee out on the streets but when it gets on national tv for even a second, its the greatest feeling…

im bored.

i slept in a lot earlier last night. after our small get together at callahans, i went home and slept at 10. thats early for starying up til 4/5am in the morning.

so yesterday after school, which by the way we do nothing in class, i just surf the web and constantly work on the workshop website, but anyways, went to the mira mesa workshop to meet with the grn appletress rep who showed us the holiday line. check out what i found…

After the meeting, i had lunch by myself at chipotlé. their food is bomb. especially their BARBACOA meat. before my 3pm shift, since i had 20 min to kill, i went to bed bath and beyond. sometimes they have some really cool things, like this BIG ASS universal remote! its freaken HUGE! no its not zoomed up, its prolly a foot tall.

im officially finished my soda for the day. ive been leaning towards clear soda lately even though there is no caffine. but at 8am every morning, those damn bubbles from the carbonation kinda wake you up a little.

i woke up late this morning for school. or should i say, i slept in late. i slept at 6am and consciously kept pushing snooze on my phone alarm at 7am. but i guess some time after i pushed that last snooze, i covered my phone. so i was late, whatever, we dont do anything in here anyways.

as i got into class, the teacher was going through some lessons about viewing video while editing and yada yada yada. but on the projector was me. and i mean ME, ME on the whole screen.

i spent hours at fry’s yesterday trying to buy memory for my iMac. the problem is the iMac is considered a desktop but has laptop memory in it, so it is categorized in the wrong section in the frys book. like ive said it before, i hate it when i know more than the actual sales associate. i returned what i bought and told him what i needed for my computer but he told me i needed something else, so i went along with, when i got it i noticed again it wasnt the right size still. after hours of figuring this out, i was right in the first place.

its tuesday. i got a day off but not really. Willys Workshop website in going under some awesome changes, so ill be working on that. ive got a meeting with travis from DC with a little more limited shoe line. ill see if i can take any pictures… the baseball all-star game tonight and our boy JAKE Peavy is the starting pitcher.

The Daily Grind.

good morning friends.

i had a crazy week. along with july 4th week, i also had my 1 week off of school for the summer. i go straight til the 27th of september and i will be done with school.

Well im glad to say that i surpassed the iPhone hype. as a matter of fact, i managed to stick with verizon and even get a new phone that my mom approved of. i got the enV. its my old phone but skinner.

im obsessed with transformers right now. after we saw the movie i downloaded a crap version but it does the justice. ive just been putting it on repeat on my 32″. if i had enough of the movie, i have been watching the cartoon series. as a matter of fact, megan fox (the actress in transformers), is going out with one of the 90210 actor brian austin green who was born in ’73. megan fox was born in ’86. you can do the math. she doesnt do big parties, even for her 21st, shes not “into that scene”. this chick is weird. but shes still gorgeous.

i got this crazy rug burn on my right shin from doing a baseball slide into the turf at poway high last night. this means i gotta shave my leg hairs so the skin doesnt heal all weird. random.

im watching bobbys world in class right now. bobbys world was one of my favorite shows as a kid. i used to watch an episode every morning before school. random.
