Two Thumbs Down

its friday. i weighed 176lbs this morning. (your stomach is smaller in the morning). im trying to maintain a healthy and minimal diet. it worked all week, but the weekend is here and im highly due for some real food.

u know when there no news today when channel 8 has a story of a lady who flushed a 4 karat diamond ring (worth more than her porche) down the toilet and calling rescue rooter to swamp through SHIT to find it.

i did orders from this company called 3Sixteen. Very clean tees and cut n sew. i was impressed.

willy and jeremy klein (crazy white guy at willys anniversary parties) were on tom green’s talk show. it airs at 8pm every weekday on the internet, tomgreen.com. its a pretty cool show. the show is only supposed to be 1 hour but they re-aired at 1015pm.

watched pirates of the carribean 3 at 12am. YOU HAVE TO BE FAMILIAR WITH PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN 2 PLOT TO MAYBE ENJOY THE 3RD. i never got a hold of the plot. the audio dodged my ears. i was drinking a $4 dasani water. half way through the movie i needed to pee but we sat in the middle of the 100 seat row. and the AC went out. i even tried to sleep but i couldnt. i was too restless.

we were planning to ransac the snackbar for water.

there was a pretty hefty line. everyone was 18 or younger. jail bait.

the WILDBOYZ street cred bumped up another notch last night. there was a little incident before and after the movie. lets just say, i wouldnt have needed to help.

its sad that all these tv series are ending. they end all in the same week! Dancing with the Stars, Heroes, Lost, The Office, American Idol, House. too bad so sad. im looking forward to “so you think u can dance” and “the lot”. try “the lot”. the first episode looked interesting.

AMERICAN IDOL FINALE

Last night i watched the american idol finale. i knew jordin was going to win. her vocals are so incredibly good. the fucking american idol theme song thingy is so FUCKING ANNOYING! i just want to punch the tv every time it comes on. i think what killed blake was his choice of songs at the end and his stupid beat boxing. you just always know he’ll spit a few beats in every song he would sing. it got old. fast.

LOST SEASON 3 FINALE

i waited 3 years for this episode.

i spent the 2 hours on the edge of my seat and cheering/yelling out loud at 1am in the family room. i wish i could explain but i want those who havent watched it to catch up. let me just tell u that it was a SUPER CRAZY episode. kate looked fucking HOT at the end. super gorgeous. i cant wait til next season. i hope it wont be the last. they better not have that 4 month hiatus! maybe we can do lost nights at my house again. well, we’re just going to have to wait til next season.

THURSDAY

i woke up a little bit later than usual because i couldnt sleep last night after watching the Lost season finale. it was that good. i had class today. all my classmates always miss class and i feel like an idiot going to all the classes alone and we get the same grade. on my way to the gas station, i decided not to go to school today. i only have a few more classes left so this will be my one and only absence.

i still get all nervous and stressed out when im late or dont go to class. ever since high school when id get to football practice late, it would be hell. so since then, when i think about not going to school, i think about it until i get stressed out, even when i know im not going to get in trouble or fall behind. i still picture this image of coach jolk getting pissed off at me.

so i spent my morning by going to home depot at 745am. i was in search for….

2. pressure washer
3. tape
4. lights
5. DANA. she works at home depot and is a willy santos fan and shes gorgeous. i only use the word gorgeous when i really think a person is very attractively pretty without all the makeup. (sometimes) (shes pictured below). why dont you hook up a homie willy?

i finally have a clean room thanks to my mom.

i came home after school yesterday and my room was spic n span. it hasnt been this clean since… never. reasons why i love my mom/still live at home:

1. cleans my room unexpectedly
2. does my laundry when it doesnt need to be done. she hang dries it now since i used to get mad when she’d shrink all my $40 tees
3. she gives me the magical solution to mouth sores. chlorhexidine gluconate
4. she cleans my teeth for free
5. when im hungry, she will gladly pick up food on the way home
6. she not flossy. she may be a dentist but she still makes it seem like our family is struggling with money.
7. shes got my back 110%. she spent a whole sunday cleaning my screen printing section of the garage because she wants me to make that money.

this is the heavy duty oral rinse my mom told me to swiss around in my mouth. doesnt the bottling look intimidating? looks like peroxide and my mom wanted me to put this in my mouth!? But no worries, its kinda like a listerine with less bite and kills all the bacteria in your mouth.

i busted out my velvet sketchbook. with the whole printing thing about to go off, ive had so many ideas and thoughts in my mind and its so hard to hold the thoughts/ideas. sometimes they vanish out of my head. so i now have a sketchbook to jot down any notes. as for a name. the name is the hardest part. ive asked a few friends for their input and theyve come up with some pretty good ones. i think i found the one. how about CARPE DIEM? i wanted something with meaning and this one does. its a latin phrase for “SEIZE THE DAY.” its pretty catchy yeh?

So the Workshop X GranApltree collab is now in production. the first shirt has been printed as you can see below. this is going to off the hook!

i did the in4mation order for the shop yesterday. they have a really good fall line. there were a few awesomely awesome pieces.

the LOST 2 hour season finalé is on tonight! i found this map in google images. not sure how accurate this is. looks like they dont have the Darma Looking Glass station huh!? but it gives a pretty good jist of the island.

Purple Haze game tonight is at 730pm at AIU. wish us luck and lets hope no ones touches my jaw or i dont bite on my sores in my mouth.

Adrenaline Is My Friend.

im been out of it. i havent felt bloggish lately.

got into a brawl with some racist white navy fags on friday night. it was me and george vs. like 7 of them. i am not going to let anyone lay verbal racist shit to us multiple time in one standing. especially when we are the better people and walk away. and when they follow you, dont let that shit go any further. they pushed our girl to the ground and i started throwing punches. i did whatever i could until i hit the ground. i was helpless with facial blows to the face. they were pussies and kicked my face like pussies. i managed to get up and they took off. those fags were scarred to be caught and be charged with dishonorable discharge. the end.

i had so much adrenaline running in me that i felt no pain. i couldnt tell my jaw was fucked. i couldnt bite down. i had no idea i had cuts on my face til the next day. adrenaline was my friend that nite.

the whole weekend i felt like shit.

• bruised jaw
• never ending charlie horse
• 3 cuts on my beautiful face
• and one gnarly bruise on my arm due to being held back

but one thing that they couldnt hurt was my pride. im ready for the next match. im putting the biggest and strongest homies on speed dial.

I worked friday morning shift and met with frankie from Sole Tech. did some ordering for holiday 07 for es and emerica shoes & apparel. I went to CVS around the corner and picked up a Shrek 3 Snickers with green filling!!!! it looks gross but when do you get to eat green filling in your snickers?

heres my large bruise on my arm from jenny trying to hold me back friday night. i didnt know it was from her until she rein-acted it and her hands matched the death grip on my arm.

willy handed me down one of the samples of his shoes coming out soon (i hope). just like all his shoes, i designed the colorway of this shoe. the classic all white leather with a gum cup sole.

my garage is going through some renovations. my order of blank tees are in. soon, it will be time to print. im gathering my ideas and im hoping to print my first sample design this week.

i havent really had anything crazy to blog about lately. but a few things to note:

1. new Apple MacBook hardware update coming soon! i can finally get a new laptop. this includes a new ultra-portable MacBook
2. HEROES: i think it just got better. i cant seem to stop thinking about whos better, sylar or magneto?
3. Julianne Hough, Apolo Ohno dancing partner on Dancing with the Stars is gorgeous. i dont know if its of her dancing or what, but im in love.
   
4. padres suck. you didnt listen when we said we needed hitters huh?
5. half way through the week
6. season finales of everything are coming soon. heroes, lost, the office, soon coming to an end of season.
7. new verizon wireless blackberry coming out the 28th of this month. oh as a matter of fact, i get a phone upgrade on the 8th of june. what a coincidence!?

Ralph vs. Wild

did you seriously believe me when i said my cat, ralph, can catch snakes? well i hope you did. of course my cat, hands down, is better than your cat, since he can catch snakes with his bare teeth.

since ive lived in my house on maler rd (1987), the first 8 years here ive witnessed probably 10+ snakes each summer. all kinds of snakes. baby snakes. rattle snakes. gardner snakes. milk shakes (jk). my grandma used to go at them with a shovel. but im traumatized til this day.

but a year ago ralph brought a snake inside the house (did you believe me?). this time i was outside cutting my hair when i here a skirmish in the bushes in the hillside. i see ralph jumping around in the bushes. then all of a sudden i see his silhouette with a freaken snake in his mouth. i run for my LIFE and for my camera… but mainly for my life.

after a hard day a work. ralph chills in the shade, with his new toy/food steve the snake, as the sun bakes down.

he couldnt figure how to eat this one.

fear? whats fear? just chillin and not paying attention to steve the snake. a sign who won this battle.

oh by the way, i hit 179.1 lbs this morning. last time i was in the 70′s was over a year ago.

willys workshop are stirring up big things. im putting this up for the sole purpose of HYPE-ing this SHIT up son! this is the exclusive Green AppleTree X Willys Workshop collabo tee. this will only be found at your local willys workshop! Bryan at grn appletree did his research when designing. this is a mix of jollibee and willys birdhouse pumpkin head skateboard graphic.

its weird to see your boss on the front page of one of the websites you go on everyday and seen by the thousands.

spent part of my day video chatting with ed & ron. i guess even when talking with friends on this thing, its good be anonymous and not show your face.

check out my custom SD hat. by yours truely… i saw someone do this to their hat prolly 2 years ago and i have been thinking about it a lot lately so when it came to driving home after school, i swung by the hat club in mission valley.

so i spent my thursday afternoon designs a freaken flyer for tk. he sent me the text, pictures, website, samples, ect… i worked on it from 2 – 9pm. i seriously shouldnt have tried so hard.

when it comes to me designing anything…

1. i spend hours researching
2. i visually design titles
3. i strategically place my type in certain ways
4. i perfect my typography

let me explain why i made “reloaded” the way i did.

1. when i think of reloaded i think of reloading a gun
2. when i think of a gun i think of gun metal grey colors
3. and i think of dirty, grungy

i even brushed the reloaded with the black edges all from scratch. this took me prolly 30min to do. i actually took my pen tablet and brushed it.

so then.
tk doesnt like the reloaded. he shows me how he likes it. so i do it his way…

when it comes to design work, i say let the designer be the designer. ive done work where it got to the point that it didnt even look like my work. the client wanted it done HIS way. i spent countless hours on the phone with my client telling me how to design!? after, i trashed all my work for this client cuz it wasnt work i could put on my portfolio. it looked like shit and he loved it.

i would just like to thank tk for this opportunity. atleast i can still put my version on my portfolio.

sorry for the super lag of posts. i had a long weekend and im still trying to recover. ive been reminded that my website is linked to my schools website so why not make a wonderful example of a over the top design students work. so i changed the design of my blog and will be adding previous and current design work of mine.

lets rewind back to friday…

after the opening morning of Spiderman 3 we dropped by its a grind to visit ojay at 630am. as you can see, its tough to be up this early and not be in high school anymore.

The DC rep (Paul) dropped by the mira mesa shop and hooked me up with another pair of shoes.

we had a dinner plan for friday night at phils bbq. long story short, we got split up due to craving differences and ended up at seau’s with meat loving cravings alike.

$20 new york steak & split a full rack of ribs with o-champs, or more like o-chomps.

after the sleep on the way home, found a secret admirer letter on my window with a bill & teds bogus adventure playing card? wtf? i dunno. i found the culprit.

went to TGI’s for the after party. i havent laughed so hard that my cheeks would hurt in a long time. i wont explain cuz it wont be funny to you.

now to super summarize the rest of my weekend…

Saturday:

1. worked the 1030-7 shift at mira mesa
2. watched the fight that killed boxing at TKs
3. went out to rock bottom with mr. hoey
4. witnessed 2 mex fight to flips. flips murdered the two mex. murdered as in, knocked out cold for 20min.
5. got home at 230-3

Sunday:

1. woke up at 7 to help load skate obstacles for the workshop demo at the PQ fiesta.
2. played a hungover flag football game at 9am
3. sweated the hangover to play another game at 10
4. kicked it at the fiesta.
5. the heat soaked up my energy all day
6. passed out in my moms office in a station seat fully reclined for 2 hours.
7. had dinner at outback
8. slept for 10 hours

let me just run through what went on in the past 9 hours.

1. woke up at 1am to pick up tk and fall in line at the mira mesa edwards IMAX theatre.
2. sat in line for 1 hour
3. chomped on 4 rolled tacos and a rockstar before the movie
4. watched the 315am showing of SPIDERMAN 3 in IMAX (will explain IMAX down below)
5. visited ojay & had an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese @ its a grind.
6. went home and slept for 30 min
7. had a workout at 24 hour fitness
8. folded laundry

the long wait. we are at one exit. the end of the line reaches the other exit.

the news have been here all day and night covering the opening of spiderman 3. this is inside the channel 7 van.

warning!: its like all comic turned movies seems to portrait the main character as SUPER EMO.

for years, the only IMAX theatre that plays movies close to SD is the irvine spectrum. well now the edwards mira mesa is now an IMAX theatre and the only one from the border to irvine. let me tell you about edwards IMAX…

1. its $3 more per movie in the IMAX theatre.
2. the screen fills the WHOLE FUCKING front. from front to bottom.
3. they put in new seats where you dont have to break your back to recline. just lean back like fat joe says and youll be set.
4. the sound system is remarkable! your seats actually rumble.
5. its in full HD. HIGH DEFONE-ITION!
6. with all the new stuff, it smells like a new pair of shoes!
7. i HIGHLY recommend watching in IMAXXXXXXXXX
