The Friends Forever package was fun.

You thought this trip was just a little bike ride. NO. it was more than a bike ride. it was a workshop of teamwork, soul-searching, and conquering your fears.

A few things ive learned from this bike trip.

  1. ohana means family, leave no one behind
  2. when you jump rocks, make sure to have a backup rock to jump on in case you under estimate
  3. dont wear a wife beater on a cloudy day
  4. your bike stance is the same as rock climbing stance
  5. soft sand is not your friend
  6. when riding down hills, you gotta bomb it full speed or else your chance of falling is greater.
  7. when you clip out of your pedals, clip the right foot first
  8. when riding steep inclines, you need to sit on your seat so the rear tire catches
  9. lunchables are the perfect field trip lunch.

Had a blast at excelsior. i think i got my game back. its time to DOMINATE. cheers to a wonderful evening and to all the people who got me drinks….

Diamondback Sorrento.

i need other ways to get out and exercise. im going to try to ride every morning when i wake up. my quads need a wake up call. as long as i strive for improvement, ill be happy. every time we ride, my legs burn but never hurt in the morning so i guess thats a good thing?

welcome to the family:
DIAMONDBACK SORRENTO 07′

This morning i woke up at 915 and had work at 1030 so i went just for a little ride up my mountain. as you can see, it was overcast this morning but still definately a wonderful view. i put an arrow noting where toe-knees house is. just riding to get to this spot was hard.

Hooters last night was pretty chill. whats better than a bunch of broke ass girls serving you food? the hooters with the best girls would be Las Vegas. that one was the best that ive been to.

tj was either really happy or just likes hula hoops.

Another Callahans wednesday night. i cant get sick of this place for some reason! it it the bluberry wheat beer? the club sandwich? or the awesome service by josie? i just dont know but its awesome. steve was in town for spring break and it came to me what i want for a tat.

So this is steves tat. its a portrait of our province back in the philippines. Our province, Bicol, is know for their Mayon volcano. its known for its perfect shape of a volcano. but back in the late 1800’s or so (im guessing), their used to be this church that rested on the bottom of the volcano. but the volcano erupted and wiped out the whole town and the only thing that survived was the top of the bell tower of the church. when i went back to the PI in 2001 i vidited it and it was crazy. so if you look closely to steves tat, its inked with the tower bells of the church and the volcano in the back. however, just recently, their was a typhoon and covered the whole bell tower, so now it no longer lies visible. i want something just like that but differently illustrated. its hard to think of a tattoo but when its something personal to me, i can do it. thanks steve.

ralph caught another lizard. it was smaller and again he wanted to bring it inside!!!!

we just got in some new nikes just right now. check out what we just got in!

im feeling good today. lets party this weekend! its pre-birthday week.
lets party. you deserve it!

Pay It Forward

I usually forget my own birthday. but its coming up. i keep telling people im 21. i guess i only remember the birthdays that really mean something. after i turned 18, i kept telling people i was 18 until i turned 21. if you didnt know, me and ron have the same birthday.

its 640am on wednesday morning. ive been up doing some work. last night our digital cable connection went out. that means our phone line and internet was out because its all connected. luckily my tv isnt connect to my digital cable so atleast i had tv. but i missed AI.

* for some reason, im listening to cerritos all-stars online right now and they are playing the Wow Wow Wee theme song and it got me in a good mood. i guess i am filipino.

went to the gym yesterday afternoon with ocamps. i had prolly the best 2 workout in 3 months in the past two days.

ways to keep you motivated going to the gym is:

1. do different variations of your workout routine
2. dont playout your workout playlist on your ipod
3. get better headphones to bump your music so you do get distracted (ipod default headphones get distorted fast)
4. go during a time when you know you will see milfs or hot girls but still not so crowded that you can still workout (vice versa for women)(primetime for men: 9-11, 3-5)

tired of doing the same ol’ push ups?

this morning i watched “Pay It Forward”. i havent seen this movie since 2001 when i used to work at Pacific Theatres and get free posters and Pay It Forward was on my wall forever.

if only the world would be a better place. but in order for that to happen, it begins with YOU. pass on your good deeds. go out of the way for people. open the door when you know people are behind you. or even simply, just smile at someone. its also like, what goes around, comes around but in a good way. and if you believe in karma, only good things will come your way. just do yourself a favor and PAY IT FORWARD…

Hey Dude!

I took my sunday and just relaxed. it was a lovely day. Ralph (my cat) loves to catch things outside, bring them inside, let the rodent run around, catch it, let it go, catch it again, then it eat. this time he caught a lizard and his tail broke off and ralph tried to fit the lizard and the tail in his mouth at the same time. it was pretty funny. but one time he brought in a snake. not funny.

ralph wanted me to let him in the house with his lizard friend. the lizard is in front of ralph on the mat in the picture below.

i slept a whoppin 12 hours last night. my body is sore from playing football yesterday at poway high in the 5 on 5 league i play in with some high school friends. after i rode my el moto to headquarters. i dont get to bring my el moto out to play as much nowadays. if you didnt know, ive spent over $3000 on my bike and ive put on all the parts with my bare hands.

this picture is up on www.50ccracing.com. i have like 5 picture of my bike but this isnt what it looks like now.

do you remember when you were a kid and you watched “HEY DUDE!” on nickelodeon? i found 1 youtube clip on youtube and it was only put up 2 weeks ago. i thought about HEY DUDE! from browsing the internet movie database (imdb.com). 4 degrees of separation.

blades of glory > ben stiller > christine taylor > hey dude!

so step back into time and watch this small clip. just watch how bad the acting was! christina taylor is beautiful piece of human. you can buy the 8 dvd complete series set of Hey Dude for $38.95 @ utnicktoon.com.

enjoy the lovely monday weather…

Touch The Rim

Leapfrog your competition with a six-pack of exercises

SEE YOUR ABS The more fat you carry, the more power you need to move it. Our advice: Slim down to get up.

JUMP HIGHER Push back at the hips and lean forward at the shoulders. Then forcefully straighten your hips.

BUILD BIG LEGS Don’t dip your thighs more than 45 degrees from vertical during the countermovement.

You want hops? Master all four phases of jumping: countermovement, propulsion, flight, and landing. “Most men neglect countermovement–the initial downward phase,” says Robert dos Remedios, C.S.C.S. Dip down, lean forward, and use your arms. And give yourself extra lift by performing the workouts below.

Workout 1

Dumbbell Jump Shrug

Stand holding a pair of dumbbells with an overhand grip (palms toward you) in front of your thighs. Dip slightly and shift your weight forward. Keeping your back flat and arms straight, simultaneously thrust your hips forward, shrug your shoulders, and jump straight up. Do four sets of five repetitions.

Front Squat

Stand holding a barbell across the front of your shoulders and bring your elbows forward so your upper arms are parallel to the floor. Initiate the move by pushing your hips back. Lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Quickly press back up to a standing position. Do six reps in the first set, then subtract one rep and add weight each set. Complete four sets total.

Counter-Movement Jump

Dip down by bending your hips and knees. Swing your arms back, then up as you jump as high as possible, reaching for a mark on the wall or backboard. Land softly with knees bent, shoulders slightly forward, and butt and hips back. Reset and repeat. Do four sets of eight. Alternate between workouts each time you train your lower body, for more power, greater ups, and softer landings.

Workout 2

Dumbbell Jump Squat

Stand holding a pair of light dumbbells at your sides. Lower your thighs to parallel to the floor, then bend forward slightly at the hips so your shoulders move in front of your feet. Push off the floor explosively to jump as high as possible. Land with your knees soft and sink down into your next squat. Do four sets of five reps.

Dumbbell Stepup

Holding heavy weights, lift one foot and place it on a bench, then push your body up until your weight-bearing leg is straight and your other foot hangs off the bench. Return to the starting position. Do six reps with each leg, then subtract one rep and add weight each set. Do four sets.

Tuck Jump

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent. Jump straight up as high as you can and bring your knees toward your chest. Land on the balls of your feet with your knees slightly bent and quickly go into your next jump. Do four sets of eight repetitions.
